Two-wheeler manufacturer, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) in association with Delhi Traffic Police has announced the commencement of the Road Safety Summer Camp for college students at Traffic Training Park, Baba Kharak Singh Road, New Delhi.
The Road Safety Summer Camp was inaugurated by Ranjeet Singh, In-charge of the Traffic Training Park, Baba Kharak Singh Road, New Delhi in the presence of dignitaries from the Delhi Police, Government bodies & HMSI.
The 10-days Road Safety Summer Camp between 6 June to 17 June 2022 is an interactive learning program targeted at college students aged 17-20 years. During this camp, students will be educated on road rules and traffic by HMSI’s skilled safety instructors.
The camp will provide a secure and fun learning platform to students, where they will learn about safety measures like self-defence, disaster management, fire safety and participate in quiz competition, slogan writing or poster making competition.
During this initiative, HMSI will educate the participants through a theory session on road rules & regulations, road signs & markings, pre-riding checks, driver’s duties on the road, riding gear & posture explanation and safe riding etiquettes.
To improve the risk prediction ability of riders on roads, participants will then be provided special danger prediction training known as Kiken Yosoku Training (KYT) which helps in enhancing rider/driver’s sensitivity to danger and ensures safe driving action on roads.
Further, to provide participants with a holistic understanding of road safety, the participants will then implement the learnings through practical training on a Honda two-wheeler and after the completion of training, students will be awarded a certificate of participation.
