In 2004, with the CLS, Mercedes-Benz created a new vehicle segment - a 4door Coupe With the third generation of the CLS, Mercedes brings in a sleeker design, flowing lines and new engines.
The New 2018 CLS is sharing its platform and technology with the E-Class, but it’s about 20mm longer (at 4988mm). That’s almost 50mm longer than the previous generation CLS, too.
The CLS’s cabin is also inspired by that of the E-Class, with a sweeping dashboard which flows through into the doors, dual large digital landscape displays for your instrument cluster and media, an abundance of air vents and some really attractive mood lighting. The Steering wheel is similar to the S-Class.
Internationally the 2018 CLS is available with three engine options with two diesels and one petrol.
350D 4Matic (Diesel) | 286ps/600nm |
400D 4Matic (Diesel) | 340ps/700nm |
450 4Matic (Petrol) | 367ps/500nm |
We will have to see what engines does Mercedes Benz brings the 2018 CLS to India with. The CLS will be competing against the Audi A7 Sportback and 6 Series GT from BMW.
