Bajaj Auto Ltd announces the sales report for August 2019. The company has reported 11% dip in total sales at 390,026 units compared to 437,092 units in the previous year.
Total domestic sales fell by 19% at 208,109 units as against 255,631 units same month last year.
Exports increased at 181,917 units this month, compared to 181,461 in Same period 2018.
Sales of Motorcycles saw a dip of 10% in August, this year at 325,300 units as against 362,923 units in August, last year.
Exports of motorcycles increased by 5% to 152,276 units in August 2019 compared to 144,486 units in the same period, 2018.
Domestic sales of motorcycles fell 21% YoY to 173,024 units from 218,437 units in August 2018.
The sales of commercial vehicles fell down by 13% YoY at 64,726 units as compared to 74,169 units in the same month previous year.
Exports of commercial vehicles stood saw a drop of 20% YoY at 29,641 units compared to 36,975 units in August 2018. Domestic sales was down by 6% at 35,085 units as against 37,194 units in the same period last year.
