BMW has introduced the new electric sedan flagship i7 in the country at a starting price of Rs 1.95 crore (ex-showroom). The BMW i7 model comes with two electric motors which can generate a torque of 744 Nm and a power of 536 bhp from a battery pack of 101.7 kWh. It has a capacity of reaching from 0 to 100 within just 4.5 seconds and can touch a maximum speed of 250 kmph.
This car can be charged through a 195 kW charger and give a range of 483 km per charge.
In terms of design, this car looks very much like the ICE 7 Series, with sharp crystal LED headlamps with a larger BMW kidney grille and a long sharp bonnet that gives an aggressive look to the car.
BMW has provided the car with 20-inch dark alloys and the exterior has a blue element to differentiate the car from the usual 7 Series M Sport styling.
Under ADAS technology the car gets a level two plus hands-free driving system and automatic lane change function and a parking assistant feature which allows users to park the cars using smartphone parking.
The i7 also has rear-wheel steering which can turn up to 3.5 degrees as an adaptive steering feature.
The car has a 12.3-inch digital instrumental cluster and a curved 14.9-inch infotainment screen. The rear cabin gets two 5.5-inch tables at door panels and it becomes more comfortable with the optional 31.3 inches 8K theatre screen which can be fitted between the front seat space. The Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System and Merino leather seats make the i7 more premium.
The rival of this model will be Mercedes-Benz EQS in this segment.
