Today, the French automaker Citroen will debut its first electric vehicle. Citroen hasn't said what kind of vehicle it is, but we think the impending EV is simply a C3 that is entirely electric.
Recently, a test mule that was stopped and attached to a charger was also sighted testing the C3 Electric and other vehicles on Indian roads. Citroen is not anticipated to make any significant design changes to the C3 over the ICE version of the car. The front right fender will house the charging port.
In terms of specifications, the C3 Electric is anticipated to be available with a single electric motor and a battery pack that can go approximately 300 kilometer on a single full charge. Citroen may upgrade the standard C3 with some additional amenities, but this has not yet been confirmed.
Four speakers, a digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a height-adjustable driver's seat, and steering-mounted audio controls are all anticipated to remain.
Nevertheless, the Tata Tiago EV, introduced in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs. 8.49 lakh, would face direct competition from the C3 Electric (ex-showroom). Given that the ICE C3 has priced between Rs 5.71 lakh and Rs 8.06 lakh (ex-showroom), the pricing of the electric version of the small hatchback may be close to Rs 10 lakh.
