Hyundai India Unleashes Aura At Rs. 5.8L To Take On Dzire, Amaze
In its bid to reenergize its presence in the compact sedan segment, Hyundai Motor India has launched Aura just a fortnight before the Auto Expo 2020. Priced in the range of Rs. 5.80 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India) to Rs. 9.23 lakh (ex-showroom, pan-India), it is cheaper than its rivals like segment leader Maruti Suzuki Dzire (Rs 5.83 lakh to Rs 9.53 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi) and Amaze (which costs between Rs 5.93 to Rs 9.79 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi). Developed at a cost of Rs. 800+ crore, the entry-level sedan is available in BS6 engine configurations and is more than 90% localised.
Hyundai Aura is available in six colour options -- Fiery Red, Polar White, Typhoon Silver, Titan Grey, Alpha Blue and Vintage Brown and gets engine options -- 1.0-litre Turbo GDI petrol, 1.2-litre Kappa petrol and 1.2-litre Ecotorq diesel available in petrol, diesel, CNG and GDI options.

Speaking at the launch of All New Hyundai AURA, S.S. With class-leading features and superior performance, The All New AURA will be a game changer product creating a new excitement and establish new benchmarks in the automobile industry.”
Hyundai Aura is equipped with a number of features like satin front grille, projector headlamps and fog lamps, 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels and shark fin antenna, twin boomerang DRLs, Z-shaped LED tail lamps with 3-D outer lens, 5.3-inch digital speedometer and MID, 8-inch touchscreen infotainment with smartphone connectivity, etc. Automatic AC, wireless phone charger, driver rear-view monitor and cruise control are the other features offered in this model.
The company refused to share any sales target for this model.
