Kia Sells 25,025 Cars In January 2025; Records 5% Growth

Carmaker, Kia India has started the year on a high note, recording a sales figure of 25,025 units in January 2025. This marks a growth of over 5 per cent year-on-year (Y-O-Y) compared to the 23,769 units sold in the same period last year.
The brand’s newly launched model, the Kia Syros, made an impressive debut with 5,546 units sold in its first month.
Kia’s core models, Sonet and Seltos, continued to drive overall sales performance, with 7,194 and 6,470 units sold, respectively. The Kia Carens, a consistent performer, also contributed significantly with 5,522 units sold. Meanwhile, the Kia Carnival, a premium offering, maintained strong demand with 293 units dispatched.
Kia India’s success is further reflected in its growing global presence, with the company exporting 1,454 units of its ‘Made in India’ vehicles to 70 international markets.
Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, commenting on the sales performance, said “The first month of the year is crucial for any OEM as it sets the momentum for the months ahead. We’ve had a strong start in 2025 with the launch of the Kia Syros, which has garnered a tremendous response from customers. Additionally, our premium offering, the Kia Carnival Limousine, continues to gain traction in its segment.”
