Supercar manufacturer Lamborghini has revealed its new Huracan STO globally. Hurakan STO or Super Trofeo Omalogata, now the company's road-legal variant with the name 'Huracan'. The new Lamborghini Huracan STO has been introduced to pay tribute to the Huracan GT3.
The new Lamborghini Huracan STO is heavily inspired by its race-spec GT3 model. The GT3 variant is not only seen in its design, but some aerodynamic elements have also been given a fraction of the GT3 variant.
It comes with large air scoop, roof scoop, shark fin, large rear wing at the front, large size diffusers, and air outlet channels at the rear. All these aerodynamic elements around the car, even with the oversized wing at the back, help the Huracan STO increase airflow efficiency.
To make this car lighter and stronger, 75 percent of the Lamborghini Huracan STO body is made of carbon-fiber. This supercar has also been used for many other things, including a light-weight titanium roll bar, a 4-point seat belt with a carbon-fiber bucket seat.
All these elements help reduce the total weight of the new Huracan STO. In addition, the Huracan STO uses a 20% lighter windscreen and has magnesium rims. As a result, the Huracan STO weighs 1,339 kg.
Under the hood, Lamborghini has used the 5.2-liter naturally-aspirated V10 engine in its new Huracan STO. This engine provides 640 Bhp of power and 565 Newton meter of torque. A 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox is provided with this engine.
The company claims that the new Lamborghini Huracan STO can achieve 0 to 100 kmph in just 3 seconds, while the car takes 9 seconds to reach 0 to 200 mph. The maximum speed of this car is 310 km per hour.
