Legendary Ford Mustang Creator Lee Iacocca Dies At 94

The Man behind the iconic American Muscle Car Ford Mustang, Lee Iacocca has died from Parkinsons Disease on Tuesday as confirmed by his daughter. The genius behind the massively popular sports car also saved Chrysler from Bankruptcy and even helped to develop some of the best selling cars of all time which include the Ford Escort and the minivan. Iacocca was one of the most loved Auto Moguls in the world and even though of running for the President in the late 1980s but that idea was quickly turned down due to the house speaker Tip O’Neill.

In 1979 Chrysler was deep in a debt of $5Billion because of a manufacturing defect that was turning out to be Gas Guzzlers. With the banks refusing to grant a loan, United Workers Union and Lee persuaded the government to grant a $1.5 Billion Loan and he even closed and consolidated 20 plants, thousands of workers but still accepted it publically on national television.

In the rise of his popularity in the late 80’s he was famous for his ads and catchy headlines like “If you can find a better car, buy it!”

The Ford Mustang has a better than the expected market for Indian customers because it offers so much for a price that may seem like a bargain for this absolute powerhouse. For an Ex-Showroom Price of just about 75 Lakhs, you get a bang for your buck with a naturally aspirated 5-liter petrol engine producing a crazy power just short of 400hp and a massive 515nm of torque.
