India largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki India has introduced the fourth-generation Dzire, a sedan that has evolved over 16 years to become a staple in the compact sedan segment. The new Dzire arrives with significant design upgrades, advanced technology, and improved fuel efficiency, building on a legacy that has led to over 27 lakh units sold to date.

Key Highlights and Features of the All-New Dzire

The updated Dzire has been designed to maintain its status as a top-selling model, standing as the fourth highest-selling car of all time in India and one of Maruti Suzuki’s most exported models. Here are the main features that set it apart in its segment:

Segment-First Features: The Dzire now includes several segment-first offerings such as an electric sunroof and a 360-degree HD view camera, aiming to improve both comfort and convenience. Additionally, the sedan integrates Suzuki Connect, offering real-time tracking and remote functionalities, and LED Crystal Vision headlamps for enhanced visibility.

Safety and Structural Integrity: Achieving a 5-star Global NCAP safety rating, the new Dzire is equipped with a range of safety features. These include six airbags, Electronic Stability Program (ESP) with Hill Hold Assist, ABS with EBD, and ISOFIX child seat anchorages. Built on the HEARTECT platform, the vehicle incorporates high-tensile steel for added structural integrity.

Efficient Engine and Fuel Economy: Under the hood, the Dzire houses Maruti Suzuki’s Z-Series 1.2L engine available in both Petrol and CNG models. In terms of fuel economy, the petrol manual transmission (MT) variant delivers 24.79 km/l, while the S-CNG variant achieves an impressive 33.73 km/kg. This makes the Dzire one of the most fuel-efficient sedans in its category.

The All-New Maruti Suzuki Dzire is also available with an option of Auto Gear Shift (AGS) that returns a fuel economy of 25.71 km/l. The S-CNG variants of the new Dzire are only available with 5-speed manual transmission.

The petrol variant comes equipped with Idle Start Stop technology and Dual VVT delivering 60 kW of peak power at 5700 rpm and 111.7 Nm of peak torque at 4300 rpm. In S-CNG mode, the engine generates 51.3 kW@5700 rpm and 101.8 Nm at 2900 rpm.

Interior Comfort and Technology: The Dzire offers a dual-tone interior with a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment system, wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, as well as a wireless smartphone charger. Other comfort features include rear AC vents, a rear armrest, TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), and rear USB charging ports.

Enhanced Driving Dynamics: Maruti Suzuki has introduced a new hydraulic clutch system in the Dzire, aiming to smoothen gear transitions and improve the overall driving experience. The sedan also features MacPherson strut suspension in the front and a torsion beam setup at the rear, further improving comfort and stability.
