Global high-performance supercars maker, McLaren Automotive has sold 50 McLaren supercars in India. Achieved in short time since the brand established its first official dealership in the country, this remarkable accomplishment highlights McLaren’s rapid growth and enduring appeal among India’s discerning automotive enthusiasts.
India’s supercar market has experienced robust growth in recent years, fuelled by rising affluence and a penchant for bespoke luxury and performance. McLaren’s portfolio has made a strong impact, with models like the 720S and its successor, the 750S, leading the charge. The 750S, while continuing the legacy of the 720S, has set new benchmarks in innovation and driving performance. Limited-edition models like the 765LT and the 750S 60th Anniversary Edition - one of only 60 ever produced - have also found homes in India, underscoring the demand for exclusivity among Indian customers.
In line with its global strategy, McLaren has been accelerating the launch of its latest models in India. The hybrid supercar Artura and the 750S were introduced to Indian customers shortly after their global debuts, reflecting the brand’s commitment to making India an integral part of its growth story.
Commenting on this achievement, Robert Holtshausen, Market Director – Middle East, India & Africa, McLaren Automotive, said “Since the inauguration of our Mumbai showroom in November 2022, McLaren Automotive has cultivated a loyal and growing customer base across major cities in India. The showroom has become a hub for McLaren enthusiasts, offering unparalleled access to the brand’s iconic lineup and personalised services.”
