Royal Enfield Unveils Super Meteor 650 At EICMA 22

The Super Meteor 650 was unveiled by Royal Enfield at the present EICMA 2022 motorcycle show. The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 has been in development for some time and is the company's third 650 cc motorcycle, following the Interceptor and Continental GT 650, both of which were unveiled at EICMA four years ago.

The Super Meteor has all the hallmarks of a classic cruiser, including a two-piece scalloped seat without grabrails, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, a fender for the rear tire, a circular LED headlight, a first for any RE motorcycle, and a taillight. It also has an upright riding position and a retro design. The Meteor 350, which now appears to be a smaller version of the Super Meteor, served as the design's obvious source of inspiration. The two motorcycles' designs are similar, but that doesn't seem to be a bad thing at all. Additionally fresh and stylish is the Royal Enfield badging on the fuel tank. The cast-Aluminum switch cubes, a first for any RE motorbike, are a highlight.

The Super Meteor 650 is constructed on the same chassis as 650 twins, but it uses a new tubular steel frame for a more relaxed and pleasant riding position. The motorbike is equipped with a six-speed gearbox and the same 648 cc parallel-twin oil/air cooled engine. The engine's specs are the same as well, producing a maximum of 52.3 Nm of torque at 5,650 rpm and 47 horsepower at 7,250 rpm.

Another first for a RE motorbike, the bike has 43 mm upside-down forks with 120 mm of travel up front and twin shock absorbers with 101 mm of travel in the back. The front wheels are 19 inches in diameter, while the back wheels are 16 inches. The Super Meteor has a single 320 mm disc up front with a two-piston calliper, and a 300 mm disc in the back for braking purposes. ABS with dual channels is available as a standard fitment. The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 is not a lightweight motorbike, weighing in at 241 kg when wet. The motorcycle's petrol tank has a 15.7-liter capacity.

The Super Meteor 650 adds the RE Tripper pod, which debuted on the Meteor 350, as well as an offset circular instrument console to its list of features. With the exception of the tail-lamp receiving a light surround, subsequent Royal Enfield models share the design of the round rear lights and rearview mirrors. Additionally, the double exhaust is readily apparent.

The solo tourer version of the Super Meteor 650 will come in five color schemes: Astral Black, Astral Blue, Astral Green, Interstellar Grey, and Interstellar Green. The Super Meteor 650 Tourer, the big tourer model, will be offered in Celestial Red and Celestial Blue color schemes.

It is expected that RE will announce the prices of bike in India at Rider Mania 2022 which is going to happen at Goa, this month. and the price of bike can be around Rs 3.5 lakh
