Electric two-wheeler manufacturer, Sokudo Electric India has launched its new line of full-face helmets for male and female riders. The new helmets are available in black colour and compliant with the ISI standards. With this, the electric scooter manufacturer expands into the rider safety equipment segment to advance its contributions towards rider safety.
Through this new product line, Sokudo Electric hopes to capture around 2-3 per cent of India’s USD 2 Billion helmet market within the first year of the launch. The company also anticipates the helmet line will contribute approximately 1 per cent to its total revenue for the Financial Year 2025.
Sokudo Electric’s new helmet line is made from non-breakable virgin plastic, which adds to its strength and resilience to withstand the toughest conditions. According to the company, the new line exceeds the IS 4151 standard for helmets, giving it an edge in terms of shock absorption and retention strength. The full-face design combined with high-quality material offers optimal protection against accidents. The helmets weigh less than 1 kg, making them lightweight and comfortable for long-distance travel. The Made in India helmets also come with a comprehensive 1-year guarantee and are available in distinct designs for male and female riders, priced at Rs. 949 and Rs. 1017, respectively.
Prashant Vashistha, CMD of Sokudo Electric India, shared his thoughts on the latest launch stating, “Since inception, one of our top priorities has been to enhance rider safety and make long-distance travel more convenient and comfortable for our customers. We hope our affordable helmet line will deliver upon our promise of offering exceptional products that advocate road safety and allow us to set new quality benchmarks in protective gear.”
The new helmets are available for purchase through Sokudo Electric’s official website and flagship stores. Customers who purchase the brand’s electric scooters can avail of the new helmet at a discounted rate. With this latest initiative, the company doubles its contributions towards improving rider safety and supporting India’s domestic manufacturing efforts.
