Tata Motors has launched the 2025 facelift of its premium hatchback, the Altroz, with updated styling, smarter features, and a more refined cabin experience.

Design

The 2025 Altroz gets a major design overhaul. The front now sports a bold 3D-style grille flanked by sharp split LED headlamps with integrated daytime running lights, giving the car a modern and aggressive stance.

Tata has also introduced flush door handles, a first-in-segment feature, which improve aerodynamics and lend a premium look.

At the rear, sleeker LED tail lamps are connected by a stylish light bar, while the redesigned bumper completes the updated look.

Specifications

The new Altroz is based on Tata’s ALFA architecture, which remains unchanged. However, the facelift brings upgrades across its technology, convenience, and safety features. It is available in multiple personas as Smart, Pure, Creative, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ S, each tuned with specific feature packages to suit different buyer preferences. The vehicle is also compliant with the latest Bharat Stage 6 Phase 2 emission norms.

Features

The cabin has been upgraded to match the sporty exterior. The dashboard has been reworked to accommodate a more premium layout. The highlight is the UltraView HD twin screens with a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument cluster.

The cabin also includes a voice-assisted sunroof, 90-degree door opening, an air purifier, ambient lighting, and connected car technology. Top variants offer six airbags, a 360-degree camera with blind-view monitoring, ISOFIX mounts, and electronic stability control, features usually seen in higher segments.

Engine Options

Tata has retained the same engine options from the previous model. Customers can choose from a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-litre diesel engine, and a twin-cylinder CNG version.

These engines are offered with 5-speed manual and automatic gearbox options, depending on the variant. With the launch of the Tata Altroz facelift, the company has also introduced 5-speed AMT for the first time.

The CNG variant has been designed to offer more usable boot space, a smart move for urban buyers seeking efficiency without sacrificing practicality.

The hatchback can go from 0-100 km/h in 12.8 seconds.

Safety

Safety has been another area of focus in the new Altroz. The hatchback now offers six airbags, a 360-degree camera with blind-view monitoring, and ISOFIX child-seat mounts. The Altroz has previously earned 5-star GNCAP rating in crash tests, and the facelift builds further on that foundation.

Colour Options

The 2025 Altroz facelift is offered in five body colour options as Dune Glow, Ember Glow, Pure Grey, Royal Blue, and Pristine White. The five personas also offer different aesthetic and feature combinations, giving the Altroz more character and customisation options than before.

Price

The new Altroz facelift is priced competitively, starting from ₹6.89 lakh (ex-showroom).

Pricing varies based on the chosen engine, persona, and transmission combination.

With the 2025 Altroz facelift, Tata Motors has addressed customer feedback while pushing the premium hatchback experience forward and is aiming to strengthen its position against strong rivals like the Hyundai i20, Maruti Suzuki Baleno, and Toyota Glanza.

The segment is known for its high competition, and Tata’s refreshed offering appears well-equipped to take on the challenge. The Tata Altroz facelift now offers better style, smarter tech, improved comfort, and safety.
