Ashok Leyland Reports 50% Decline In Domestic Sales

Ashok Leyland has reported a decline of 50 percent in its domestic sales at 8,296 units compared to 16,628 units in August 2018.

Sales of M&HCV segment declined by 63 percent in the domestic market at 4,585 units last month as against 12,420 units in the same period last year.

Light commercial vehicle segment declined by 12 percent at 3,711 units as compared to 4208 in August 2018.

Overall vehicle sales (domestic + exports) saw a steep dip of 47 percent at 9,231 unit as compared to 17,386 unit same period in 2018.

During the period of April-August, total sales in the domestic market declined by 18 percent at 56,401 units this year. 

Overall vehicle sales dipped by 20 percent at 59,766 units in the period of April-August 2019.
