BLive, an e-mobility platform, has partnered with Awign, a work-as-a-service platform, which works with leading companies across industries. This collaboration aims to onboard 10,000 riders for BLive’s EV Rental Programme over the next 12 months, with a hope to revolutionise last-mile delivery in India.
This partnership with BLive offers gig workers access to affordable and sustainable electric vehicles (EVs), transforming the last-mile delivery ecosystem. BLive’s EZY EV Rental Programme eliminates financial hurdles, offering flexible rental terms and weekly rates starting at Rs 1,500. The "Rent to Own" model allows riders to own their EVs after 36 months, supporting sustainability and economic independence.
Riders on the BLive EZY platform can acquire EV with minimal deposits, without the requirement for CIBIL check. The program includes comprehensive insurance, roadside assistance, and extended warranties. Additionally, gig workers benefit from significant fuel cost savings and the chance to contribute to a sustainable future.
Expressing his views about the partnership, Samarth Kholkar, CEO and Co-Founder of BLive, said, “This collaboration with Awign marks a significant milestone for BLive. Our EZY EV Rental Programme has been instrumental in reducing the financial barriers for delivery workers, and this partnership will further accelerate the adoption of electric mobility in India.”
Awign, known for its innovative work fulfillment solutions, specialises in streamlining work processes, ensuring high-quality outputs, and managing costs effectively for large organisations. With a community of over 1.5 Million gig workers, Awign collaborates with leading enterprises in sectors including Automotive, Retail, FMCG, Education, Manufacturing, Construction, Pharmaceuticals and more.
Gurpreet Singh, Co-founder and CBO of Awign, added, “At Awign, we have been actively working in the space of sustainable mobility and related technologies for a while now. From deploying charger installation infrastructure across India to now onboarding 10,000 riders for BLive's EZY EV Rental Programme, we continue to work towards operational excellence as well as sustainability.”
The Indian EV industry is growing rapidly, with the market for electric two-wheelers projected to reach1.6 million units by 2025. The gig economy, especially last-mile delivery services, significantly contribute to this growth. This collaboration leverages this trend, making the transition to electric both accessible and advantageous for gig workers across India.
