BYD Rolled Off Its 6 Millionth New Energy Vehicle

The journey from the five millionth to the six millionth new energy vehicle took three months, The six millionth unit under its sub-brand Fang Cheng Bao is named Bao five which is a hybrid SUV.

In October BYD reported a monthly sales record, exceeding 300,000 new energy vehicles globally. The roots of global expansion can be traced from 2010, with the most demanded segment supply of buses and taxis in a transition phase of electrifying public transport, leading it to a global presence in over 400 cities and 70 countries.

The brand gives credit to local manufacturing based on global demand.

To expand its global footprint, BYD adopted a dual approach of exports and local production to accelerate the global presence of new energy passenger vehicles. 

Currently, BYD has entered 58 countries and regions, and surpassed an accumulative sales of 200,000 units of passenger vehicles, with significant victories in the new energy vehicle market in Thailand, Brazil and other locations.
