BYD India, a subsidiary of New Energy Vehicles (NEV) manufacturer, has received 500 bookings for its luxury sport sedan 'Seal' within 15 days of launch in India.
In India, the BYD Seal is launched in three variants – Dynamic at Rs. 41,00,000 (ex-showroom), Premium at Rs. 45,55,000 (ex-showroom) and Performance at Rs. 53,00,000 (ex-showroom).
The company has also implemented some offers for customers who book the BYD Seal within March 31, 2024. These offers include a complimentary 7kW home charger and installation service, a 3kW portable charging box, a BYD Seal VTOL (Vehicle to Load) mobile power supply unit, 6 years of roadside assistance, and also one complimentary inspection service.

We did hit the 200 bookings mark soon after launch, within 15 days, we have registered 500 bookings. It goes to show that Indian customers are keen on competitively priced and stylish solutions for sustainable motoring.”
The BYD Seal is equipped with technology like Cell to Body (CTB) and intelligence Torque Adaption Control (iTAC), and is based on the updated e-Platform 3.0. With optional rear-wheel and all-wheel drive, advanced suspensions, and 0-100 km/h acceleration in around 3.8-seconds for the Performance variant, and a range of 650 km for the Premium variant, the BYD Seal seems to impress Indian consumers.
The car's aerodynamics and interior space are enhanced by the CTB technology – design that integrates the battery within the structure of the chassis itself, enhancing safety, packaging and passenger space. Moreover, the BYD Seal is equipped with ADAS Level 2, NFC card integration, and 9 airbags.
In addition, the BYD Seal comes with an 8-year or 160,000-kilometer warranty (whichever earlier) for the traction battery, an 8-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty (whichever earlier) for the motor and motor controller, and a 6-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty (whichever earlier) for the vehicle itself.
