BMW Launches Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition In India

The new BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition was launched in India today. This iconic limited-edition roadster will be available in the country as a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU) model from today onwards.
The BMW Z4 M40i is the M Performance model of the BMW Z4 roadster. It combines the elegance of a roadster and the athleticism of an M automobile. Some striking individual touches can be added to the BMW Z4 M40i Impulse Pure Edition with a wide range of optional equipment.

The new BMW Z4 M40i Pure Impulse Edition introduces two new metallic paintworks – Frozen Deep Green and Sanremo Green. New Leather Vernasca Cognac upholstery with exclusive stitching / edge stripping in contrast is offered as standard exclusively with the Manual transmission variant.

This special edition brings a classic manual gearbox to the sporty convertible, giving driving enthusiasts a more hands-on and engaging experience.
For the first time, the Z4 M40i now comes with a six-speed manual transmission, paired with a powerful 3.0-litre, six-cylinder turbocharged engine. The engine produces 340 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, letting the car go from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 second with the manual and 4.5 second with the automatic version.
Sporty Looks and New Colours
The design keeps the Z4’s sporty feel with features like a long bonnet, wide kidney grille, and slim LED headlights. It also includes a soft-top roof that opens and closes in just ten seconds.
The Pure Impulse Edition adds new paint options, including Frozen Deep Green and Sanremo Green. It also introduces new 19”/20” M alloy wheels, red-painted M Sport brake calipers, and gloss black design elements.
Inside the Cabin
Inside, the cabin is designed for sporty driving with features like M Sport seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and Vernasca Cognac leather upholstery exclusive to the manual version. The interior also includes ambient lighting, dual-zone climate control, and electric seat adjustment with memory settings.
Despite its sporty focus, the Z4 remains practical with cupholders, door pockets, and additional storage behind the seats.
Technology and Safety
The car comes with BMW’s Live Cockpit Professional, featuring a 10.25-inch digital display and touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay, and an optional Harman Kardon sound system. Other optional features include Parking Assistant, Head-Up Display, and adaptive LED headlights.
BMW also includes safety features like front and side airbags, ABS, stability control, and cornering brake control.
Driving Features
Drivers can choose between Eco Pro, Comfort, and Sport driving modes. The car also includes adaptive suspension, M Sport brakes, and a sport differential for better handling. A lightweight design and 50:50 weight distribution improve balance and performance.
