CEAT Starts On-Demand Mobile Bike Repair Service In Remote Areas

Tyre manufacturer, CEAT has launched its Bike Mobile Crew services. It is an innovative on-demand bike repair service specifically designed to cater to the needs of motorcyclists stranded in remote areas.

This program addresses the challenges faced by riders in regions plagued by difficult terrains, limited access to servicing professionals, and no mobile network coverage. The pilot program is happening in Sarchu and Mahe in Ladakh, with plans to expand to other popular biking destinations across India.

CEAT Bike Mobile Crew offers services like tyre repairs and full bike repairs. The mobile van model is designed for easy movement in challenging terrains, enabling the team to reach riders in the most inaccessible locations.

Lakshmi Narayanan B, Chief Marketing Officer of CEAT, said, “We recognised that one of the challenges faced by bikers in these areas is limited access to servicing professionals which is further aggravated due to being in a mobile network black spot. With this ground breaking service, we aim to mitigate these problems so that even in the most difficult to reach locations riders can receive timely repairs and maintenance."

The dedicated Bike Mobile Crew team consists of a program manager, skilled mechanics, drivers, and a helper/co-driver.

The official flag-off for the CEAT Bike Mobile Crew program took place on the 3rd June in Mahe, and will be followed by a second flag-off on in Sarchu. By launching this innovative program, CEAT Bike Mobile Crew aims to revolutionise the way motorcyclists explore and experience India’s most scenic and remote biking routes.
