Sona Comstar has been recognised as one of the top 50 innovative companies in India by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). The company has been felicitated with CII Industrial Innovation Awards 2022 for its innovations in the electric vehicles segment to address the transformations in the automotive sector.
Sona Comstar has been able to create a robust EV components portfolio with its in-house research and technology. The company’s revenue from battery EVs grew 33 per cent year on year (YoY) in H1 FY23 contributing 25 per cent of total revenue against 21 per cent in H1 FY22. Additionally, the company has added seven new programs and four new customers in H1 FY23 with the number of awarded programs increasing to 37 across 23 different customers.

The CII Industrial Innovation Awards aim at helping the Indian Industry in assimilating a structured innovation process through Enterprise Innovation Maturity Framework, a model developed by CII.
