Five Upcoming Cars In Indian Auto Market In October

Hyundai IONIQ 5

The Ioniq 5, a second electric vehicle from Hyundai, was spotted in Chennai and would be available for purchase here by the end of 2022. The Ioniq 5 is anticipated to cost at least Rs 50 lakh (ex-showroom). It will have a seating capacity of five people. The Ioniq 5 has two battery pack versions available internationally, one with 58kWh and the other with 72.6kWh, with corresponding ranges of 384km and 481km. Four other powertrains are available for it as well: a 325PS AWD, a 235PS AWD, a 229PS 2WD, and a 170PS 2WD. In less than 18 minutes, a 350kW DC charger can fully charge the EV's battery from empty to 80 percent.

The smaller battery pack charges in 43.5 minutes, while the larger 72.6kWh battery pack charges in 56.6 minutes using a smaller 50kW DC charger. The Ioniq 5 comes equipped with a head-up display, two 12.3-inch infotainment displays, a panoramic sunroof, and dual-zone temperature control. Up to seven airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control (ESC), an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), and a 360-degree camera are all part of its safety package.

MG Hector 2022

The facelifted Hector might cost as much as Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom), or more. It will be offered in a five-seat configuration. With the 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine's (143 PS/250 Nm) and 2-liter diesel engine's (170 PS/350 Nm) powertrain options, little is expected to change. Both engines are probably going to come standard with a 6-speed manual transmission, however, the gasoline engine might also come with an optional 8-speed CVT. A 14-inch infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 7-inch digital driver's display, and multi-color ambient lighting are confirmed as being included in the new SUV's features. Additionally, a motorised driver's seat, ventilated front seats, and a panoramic sunroof is likely to be added. Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), electronic stability control, and several airbags will round out the SUV's safety equipment.

BYD Atto 3

On October 11, BYD will introduce the Atto 3 in India. The second vehicle that BYD will sell in India will be an electric SUV with a potential range of up to 420 kilometres. It might sell its brand-new electric vehicle for as little as Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). The BYD Atto 3 is available with two different battery pack configurations internationally, one with a 50kWh battery and the other with a 60kWh battery pack. These two batteries each claim to have a range of 345 km and 420 km. It has a solitary electric motor inside that generates 204 PS and 310 Nm. A 12.8-inch rotatable touchscreen, wireless phone charging, heated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, and keyless entry are all options for the Atto 3. Speaking about safety, the vehicle may have up to seven airbags, ABS with EBD, an advanced driver assistance system (ADAS), an electronic stability programme (ESP), and ISOFIX child seat anchorages.

BMW 3 Series

BMW has unveiled the 3 Series facelift. Price for the redesigned 3 Series could start at Rs 48 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted car comes with both gasoline and diesel engines and a 48-V mild hybrid system, depending on the market. Even 'M' variants and up to four plug-in hybrid options are available. A 2-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine (258PS/400Nm), a 2-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine (190PS/400Nm), and a 3-litre straight-six turbo-petrol engine (387PS/500Nm) are the three available powertrain options for the current India-spec 3 Series. They all have an automatic transmission with eight speeds. The sedan now has a floating curved display with a 14.9-inch infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital driver's display thanks to the mid-life update. It also includes wireless phone charging, three-zone climate control, and a number of ADAS features, including lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control, front collision warning, and parking assistant.

 Mercedes-Benz GLB

The GLB SUV's finalised production model has been made public by Mercedes-Benz. It is the first Mercedes-Benz small SUV to offer a choice between a five- and seven-seat cabin configuration. The Mercedes-Benz GLB will sit between the GLA and GLC SUVs. It has a boxy exterior appearance and a dashboard arrangement that is modelled after the B-Class. It has the MBUX infotainment system from Mercedes-Benz, which has a sizable horizontal touchscreen. Both gasoline and diesel engines are available for the GLB, and an automatic transmission is also an option. Price estimates for the GLB in India range from Rs 40 lakh to Rs 50 lakh.
