Get 15-25% Tax Rebate On Buying New Vehicle Under Punjab Vehicle Scraping Policy

The Punjab Government approved the new scrapping policy on Friday for vehicles that are fifteen-year-old non-transport vehicles and eight-year-old transport vehicles.

Owners of the vehicles can take their vehicles to scrap dealers across the state and would get the scrap value of the vehicle along with it they will get a tax rebate of 15 to 25 per cent in road tax for the new vehicle they will purchase. Vehicle owners who will be having the scrap certificate will be eligible for the tax rebate.

The government will benefit those who will bring their vehicles voluntarily, it will not force anyone to scrap their vehicle because AAP promised citizens before the election that they will not force vehicle owners to scrap their vehicles.

The central government is also emphasizing people scraping their older vehicles and this policy is also in line with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway’s guidelines.
