Hero MotoCorp has reported a 12 per cent increase in its total sales volumes for the month of November 2022. The company maintained its position as the most popular two-wheeler brand with cumulative sales of 3,90,932 units in the month, up from 3,49,393 units in the same month last year. Sales of Hero decreased 14 per cent month over month compared to the 4,54,582 units sold in October 2022.
Starting with motorcycles, the company recorded total sales of 3,52,834 units, an increase of 7 per cent over November of the previous year (3,29,185 units). In the meantime, scooter sales were 38,098 units compared to 20,208 units in November 2021 (up 88.5 per cent). Motorcycle sales decreased by 15 per cent from 4,19,568 units in October, while scooter sales increased by about nine per cent (35,014 units sold in October 2022).
Hero reported sales of 3,79,839 units in the month, up from 3,28,862 units the previous year. In the meantime, exports remained minimal with 11,093 units delivered as opposed to 20,531 units the year before.
Hero maintained a profit for the current fiscal year, with cumulative revenues up nine per cent from the prior fiscal year (36,63,875 units as against 33,60,493 units). In comparison to the same period the previous year, motorcycle sales increased by eight per cent as well as scooter sales by 9.1 per cent. As of the end of November, domestic sales were 35,39,944 units, up from 31,63,155 units the year before. However, exports decreased from 1,97,338 units the previous year to 1,23,931 units in the current fiscal year.
