Italjet Dragstar 500GP Concept Unveiled At EICMA 22

Italjet Dragster scooters have always been outrageous, rebellious, and cool. And the Italian firm unveiled the Dragster 500 GP prototype at EICMA 2022. The new concept is extremely funky, lovely to look at, and will develop into a wonderful 450 cc hyper scooter in classic Italjet fashion.

The Dragster 500 GP features a 450 cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 42 bhp at 8,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 43 Nm at 6,000 rpm. It also features a distinctive, red trellis frame that distinguishes all Italjet scooters. A 6-speed transmission with a multi-plate wet clutch is used with the engine. A superbike-style underbody exhaust is also available.

The scooter weighs 180 kg when empty and has a 12 liter fuel tank. The scooter has adjustable twin shock absorbers at the back and 47 mm USDs up front. The Dragster 500 GP has two 270 mm discs up front and one 230 mm disc at the back for braking. Brembo calipers are used for the brakes. ABS is available, of course.

The company's style center in Bologna, Italy, created and designed the scooter concept. According to Italjet, the scooter will probably go into production and be made at the company's facilities. Throughout 2024, it might be introduced in Europe.
