Kia, India's, revealed the beginning of bookings for the New Sonet on December 20. Kia reintroduced the 'K-Code' priority booking initiative to skip the waiting queue.
Ten ADAS features and fifteen safety packages are among the twenty-five safety features that come with the new Sonet. with more than 70 connected car features, such as Find My Car with Surround View Monitor (SVM), Hinglish Commands, and Valet Mode, among other features.
Positioned in the compact SUV segment, according to a study by Frost and Sullivan, Sonet’s maintenance cost is 16 per cent and 14 per cent lower than the segment average in petrol and diesel variants, respectively, stated the brand.
Additionally, New Sonet has six airbags across its portfolio, LED, sound, ambient lighting, connected 10.25 HD Touchscreen Navigation, a 10.25-inch Cluster Panel and Find My Car with a surround-view monitor.
"The new Sonet premium value proposition at the back of the highest segment-leading connected features, a refreshed design, and the reintroduction of manual transmission in the diesel variants will definitely garner even more admiration from our valued customers," said Tae-Jin Park, MD & CEO, of Kia India.
To look at numbers, Sonet is presently Kia's second-best-selling vehicle, with more than 3.6 lakh vehicles sold globally. In India, Kia has sold 2.84 lakh vehicles, contributing 33 per cent to Kia India's overall domestic sales, out of which Sonet has gained close to a 13 per cent segment share on average in the last three years.
