The upgraded Sonet has been released by Kia in India. Prices range from Rs. 7.79 lakh for the entry-level model to Rs. 13.09 lakh for the top-spec GT Line model (all prices, ex-showroom). The SUV now features engines that comply with BS6 Phase 2 and the new RDE emission standards. In addition, the revamped Sonet receives a number of additional features and a significant price increase of up to Rs. 50,000.
The revised Sonet has idle start/stop technology as a standard across all of its variants in terms of functionality. Other from that, it keeps the same 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, a 4.2-inch coloured instrument cluster, ventilated front seats, Bose premium sound system with LED mood lights, and paddle shifters for the turbo DCT models.
The 2023 Kia Sonet is propelled by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that complies with BS6 2 and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission, a 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a six-speed iMT or a seven-speed DCT, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine with a six-speed automatic or the recently introduced six-speed iMT gearbox.
