By introducing the Urus S on April 13, 2023, Lamborghini plans to increase the number of Urus models available in India. In essence, the Urus S is a more direct successor to the earlier Urus SUV and is anticipated to be positioned below the Urus Performante as an SUV with a stronger emphasis on luxury. On the other hand, the Performante places more of an emphasis on improving the SUV's performance traits.
The Urus S doesn't look all that different from the Urus Performante in terms of style, with the biggest differences being in the finer elements like wheel designs and carbon-fibre aesthetic options. Moreover, the Urus S has less grippable tires and weighs around 47 kg heavier.
There are some distinctions between the Performante's Alcantara upholstery and the Urus S's interior, including the Urus S's higher usage of leather.
Compared to the Performante, the Urus S also receives modifications to the suspension, but the engine is left alone. The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 produces the same 657 horsepower and 850 Nm and powers all four wheels through 8-speed automated transmission. According to Lamborghini, the Urus S accelerates to 100 kmph from zero in 3.5 seconds, which is 0.2 seconds slower than the Performante. The Vehicle can go 305 kilometres per hour.
