Lexus Takumi masters dedicate their lives to the perfection of an individual skill set and apply their highly trained senses to refine every detail. Inspired by this unique philosophy of Takumi craftsmanship, the contest was aimed towards scouting the future master craftsman who can create a special car livery inspired by nature, electrified, and craftsmanship. The contest brought together significant participation of design enthusiasts across the length and breadth of the country.
The Nature Electrified Design Contest went live in April on World Earth Day, following a rigorous process and evaluation criteria by a jury panel. The shortlisted finalists have been selected based on their skills, their nuanced approach to designing, ability to reflect the theme of nature, electrified in their design, and for demonstrating innovativeness and inspiring through imagination.
Moving forward in its brand promise of “Crafting a Better Tomorrow”, Lexus India announced a shortlist of five budding craftsmen - Siddharth Singh, Jatin Davis, Tanay Nandanwar, Vipul Sharma and Ratin Mohan for its ‘Nature Electrified Design Contest’ on World Environment Day.
Speaking on the occasion, Naveen Soni, President of Lexus India said, ‘The design submissions we have received for this contest have been outstanding across states, each combining sustainability, nature, electrified and luxury appeal. With Lexus ‘Nature Electrified Contest’, we wanted to give these craftsmen an opportunity to demonstrate their creative skills while giving them a leg up to become visible in a crowded space.’
Online voting for the contest will commence from 5th June till 15th June. The winning design will go live on the Lexus NX and will be unveiled on July 28th 2023 - World Nature Conservation Day.
