Nissan Motor India (NMIPL) has recorded wholesales of 3,249 units for the month of April 2023. Domestic wholesales stood at 2,617 units, while export wholesales stood at 632 units.
Nissan Motor India recently announced YTD sales growth of 23 per cent for FY 2022-23, with YoY March growth of 8 per cent for domestic sales and now 24 per cent in April 2023 with the growth momentum continuing into the next fiscal year 2023-24.
Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, commented, “The positive momentum continues on the strength of the game-changing Big, Bold, Beautiful Nissan Magnite, which has garnered over 1 lakh customer bookings. Our focus continues to be the domestic market while continuously expanding our global footprint of exports to more than 15 countries. Going forward we see customer sentiment to remain positive on account of GDP growth and normal monsoon, with industry projections of high single digit growth for the FY2023-24 period.”
Nissan operates on a Phygital distribution approach to meet the evolving needs of customers. Consequently, Nissan recently increased its customer touchpoints in April with the addition of two showrooms and workshops in Karnal (Haryana) and Khammam (Telangana) in April 2023.
The Nissan Magnite is exported to 15 global markets, with its most recent launches in Seychelles, Bangladesh, Uganda and Brunei. In recent years, Nissan India has shifted its primary export market from Europe to Middle Eastern countries such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
Ahead of the BS6 Stage 2 emission norms kicking in on April 1, 2023, Nissan introduced a BS6 Stage 2 RDE-compliant version of Magnite in February & March. The Nissan Magnite has GNCAP 4.0 rating.
