Akash Chaturvedi, CEO, Boys and Machines said Indians are open to new changes very quickly. As we have all witnessed during Covid that Indians are very good to take it with a smile and adapt new things. Yes, EVs are the future. But, we don't have the patience to wait at a station or from point one to point two, so definitely swapping will give us a push.
"If you see over a period of five to ten years, you will see the average running of a vehicle, especially in two-wheelers and three-wheelers is somewhere between 40-50 kilometers and 80 -100 kilometers respectively. Apart from it if you see personal usage, 80-90 per cent of the vehicles run an average of 30 to 50 kilometers while commuting between home and office. Only five to ten per cent of people commute from one city to another," said Ayush Lohia, CEO of Lohia Auto Industries.
When asked about electric anxiety for other segments of vehicles Dipti Lavya Swain, Founder & Managing Partner, DLS Law Offices said I see two points one is when we start the day, and one is where we end the day. Now, these two places are sorted because most EV companies give the infrastructure, so you can still handle the charge.
The key is during the day when these two-wheelers are running or for that matter, three-wheelers, the four wheelers are running, how do they charge? While yes, there are some battery companies who are creating batteries, which will have a quick charge facility.
