The ultimate racing experience Go Kart tournament, Red Bull Kart Fight, is back with its third edition. Designed to find the fastest amateur kart racer in India, the tournament kicks off on 12th July 2018 at SMAAASH, popular sports, and entertainment center!
Red Bull Kart Fight aims to provide amateur racers & racing enthusiasts the chance to "touch" the pro side of karting and get a competitive but fun experience down at the track. It’s an opportunity to earn the prodigious chance of witnessing the world's finest F1 drivers proving their mettle on the challenging Yas Marina Circuit. The Red Bull Kart Fight National Champion 2019 will win a fantastic all-expense paid a trip to the enthralling grand finale of this year’s F1 Championship, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2019.
New Delhi’s Rachit Singhal emerged as the best racer from among 8000 participants in the second edition of Red Bull Kart Fight in association with SMAAASH Skykarting. He also won a fantastic all-expenses-paid trip to the enthralling grand finale of this year’s Formula 1 Championship – the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2018 at the Yas Marina Circuit last November.
Talking about his experience at Red Bull Kart Fight 2018 national finals, Rachit Singhal says, “At Red Bull Kart Fight national finals last year, I was constantly in touch with Mira Erda and a couple of drivers on how I can improve my driving, racing lines and shave off those 10ths of seconds from my time. It was only the cheers from the crowd every time I lapped that made me realize that I, in fact, was leading the race. The final race ended. I was ecstatic. I got out of my kart. Fist pumped the air, hugged the nearest driver and was overwhelmed by the wishes and congratulations bestowed upon me by everyone who was present. The icing on the cake came later when my friend informed me that in that final race, I had set the fastest lap time of the day and broke the all-time track record at 0.29.862.”
On his experience at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Rachit Singhal added, “ Experiencing it first hand, I realized why the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is a 100% sellout every year. I got seats for South Grandstand which was located at the end of the second DRS zone. On the left, there were cars coming in at 300 km/hr with sparks flying all over the place. On the right was a hard-braking zone, just before turn 11 from where I could hear a constant mix of High Revvs and backfiring engines. Watching the race at night under lights was a totally new experience for me. And the very next day I was enjoying World's fastest rollercoaster Formula Rossa at Ferrari world where I met Pierre Gasly and spoke to him for good 10 minutes, he even told me about his race the day before and that he is starting with Red Bull next year. I wish all the participants of the third edition the very best and ensure you drift to win it.”
Red Bull Athlete Mira Erda, the first Indian female racer to race in Formula 4 BMW and a part of W Series Top 50, says, “My association with Red Bull has been great and I look up to the brand for being dedicated to what we racers love doing and being crazy about it. I am so glad that we launched Red Bull Kart Fight - a great opportunity for the amateur drivers to race and have a fun yet competitive experience. I am looking forward to the third edition and hope the participants take it up as a great challenge and experience the thrill of racing at the same time.”
Red Bull Kart Fight 2019 qualifiers will take place from 12th July until 6th October 2019 in Mumbai & Delhi along with the one-day qualifiers in Baroda, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bangalore for 16+ Age Category leading to the National Finals in October.
