FASTag-Based Annual Pass To Roll Out For Private Vehicles From August 15

Priced at Rs 3,000, the new policy aims to reduce toll wait times and disputes, offering up to 200 trips annually for private car owners

In a move to streamline toll payments and promote hassle-free highway travel, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari has launched FASTag-based Annual Pass for non-commercial private vehicles, priced at Rs 3,000. The pass will be effective from 15th August 2025 and is valid for one year from the date of activation or up to 200 trips, whichever comes first.

Designed exclusively for cars, jeeps, and vans, the Annual Pass promises seamless, cost-effective travel across National Highways. A dedicated link for activation and renewal will soon be available via the Rajmarg Yatra App and the official websites of NHAI and MoRTH.

“This addresses long-standing issues with toll plazas within a 60 km radius,” Gadkari said on social media. “By simplifying toll payments into a single, affordable transaction, the policy reduces wait times, congestion, and disputes.”

The initiative is expected to benefit millions of private vehicle owners by offering a smoother and more efficient travel experience.
