Automotive giant, Tata Motors has signed an agreement with the electric ride-sharing platform, BluSmart Electric Mobility for delivering 10,000 Xpres-T EV units to the company.
This order of 10,000 units is the biggest ever EV fleet order in India. These vehicles are an addition to the 3,500 Tata Xpres-T EV order placed in October last year.
The deliveries of the vehicles are expected to start soon.
The Xpres brand was launched in the previous year in July, exclusively for fleet customers and the Xpres-T EV is the first vehicle under this brand.
The Xpres-T electric sedan comes with two claimed range options of 213 km and 165 km and packs a battery of 21.5 kWh and 16.5 kWh which can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 90 min and 110 min, respectively, using a fast charger.
The sedan can also be normally charged with a 15A plug point.
