Tata Motors unveils its fourth Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) in Chandigarh. Named 'Re.Wi.Re’ stands for Recycle with Respect and has facilities such as the capacity to disassemble 12,000 end-of-life vehicles safely and sustainably each year.
Dada Trading Company, a partner of Tata Motors, is responsible for the development and management of the RVSF. The company has the capacity to recycle both passenger and commercial vehicles.
This is the fourth RSVP of Tata Motors after Jaipur, Bhubaneshwar and Surat.
"By encouraging vehicle owners to retire their older, more polluting commercial and passenger vehicles, we are taking a monumental leap towards a more sustainable future. Through this initiative, we aspire to drive the adoption of newer, safer and more fuel-efficient vehicles in alignment with our vision of a cleaner and healthier planet.”
According to Tata Motor, the digitalized facility has specialised cell-type and line-type dismantling for passenger and commercial vehicles, respectively, and all of its operations are paperless and seamless.
Additionally, there are dedicated stations for the safe dismantling of various components, including tyres, batteries, fuel, oils, liquids and gases. Each car goes through rigorous paperwork and disassembly procedures made especially to satisfy the needs of both passenger and commercial vehicles.
As a result, the disassembly procedure ensures attention to detail as well as the safe disposal of every component in accordance with the vehicle scrappage policy.
