Total 20,42,575 Units Of PVs, 2W, 3W & Quadricycle Sold In Nov: SIAM

The society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) has revealed the data on the sales performance for the month of November. The total production of passenger vehicles, three-wheelers, two-wheelers, and quadricycles in the month was 20,42,575 units.

The total sales of passenger vehicles were 2,76,231 units, three-wheeler sales were 45,664 units, and two-wheeler sales were 12,36,190 units in November.

“Positive consumer and business sentiments has reflected in the better sales in the month of November 2022, compared to the previous year. We note a sequential decline over October 2022 attributable to seasonality and softness in key export markets,” said Vinod Aggarwal, President, SIAM, while commenting on November sales.

“Passenger vehicles posted highest ever sales in FY 2022-23 till November, while the Three-Wheelers are still lower than 2010-11 and Two-Wheelers are less than 2016-17. Higher interest rates and increase in long-term insurance premium, continues to be a concern for the consumers,” said Rajesh Menon, Director General, SIAM 

Total production of passenger vehicles, three-wheelers, two-wheelers and quadricycles in April-November 2022 was 1,74,04,800 units. The total sales of passenger vehicles were 25,04,084 units, three-wheeler sales were 2,96,430 units, and two-wheeler sales were 1,12,12,348 units in April-November.
