Swedish carmaker, Volvo Car has recorded 40 per cent growth in the January-September 2023 period in India. The company retailed 1,751 cars during the period under review as compared to 1,251 units retailed in the corresponding period of last year.
The growth was primarily driven by the XC60, which contributed 35 per cent of the total volume. Additionally, the company sold 419 units of the all-electric XC40 Recharge during this period, accounting for 24 per cent of the total volume.
The company said in a statement that the newly launched C40 Recharge has got a very strong response from the Indian market. Within first month of its launch, it has crossed bookings of 100 cars.
