ACMA Collaborates With AIAWA To Strengthen Independent Aftermarket Service Centers

Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India with All India automobile workshop association held a seminar on Automotive service trends followed by a panel discussion with all automobile service providers, in the 16th auto expo held in Pragati maidan Delhi. Both organisations aggress and collaborate as it is the necessity of the automotive aftermarket ecosystem to strengthen the independent vehicle service network and their capabilities in the country to tap the growing demand of servicing the out of warranty vehicles. 

Sunjay Kapoor, President of ACMA inaugurated the session with the announcement that ACMA is collaborating with AIAWA to support them with access to auto component manufacturers for sourcing of aftermarket parts. This will ensure the better supply of parts to the independent network of automotive workshops.

Vikrantt Mohan, President of AIAWA, said that AIAWA network workshops were always willing to explore partnership with different organisations bringing in diverse experiences and strengths to help organize and strengthen this automotive aftermarket ecosystem. He talked about the important role of independent automotive workshops in working alongside the dealer network workshops to service more than 35 million vehicles in the country and the contribution it makes to the Indian economy and its business.

Ramashankar Pandey, Chairman of aftermarket committee, ACMA talks about the importance of collaboration of every stakeholder in the industry to create a seamless experience not only for the customers but also for the businesses which are a part of this ecosystem.

Amit Kumar, Co Founder and CEO of Ramp Global, Shanrohi technologies talked about how digitisation can help in standardisation of all processes and systems thus increasing the efficiency of the independent workshops. He emphasized on the fact that digitisation is the first step towards building better functional capabilities inside the independent workshops and being ready for the transformation this industry is observing.

Other Distinguished guest present were Vinnie Mehta, Director General, ACMA, Rakesh Kher, CEO Uno Mind, Debashish Satpathy, President - Aftermarket Schaffer India, Lalit Gupta, President of IIISLA and Many others.

Apparently, 70 per cent of all the out of warranty vehicles on the road are serviced by independent aftermarket service centres. Action Points of this collaboration will be to ensure the supply of auto components and ACMA will provide their extended support to AIAWA network wherever required.
