Five Changes in 2019 Triumph Street Scrambler

Triumph Motorcycles India has launched its 2019 Street Scrambler in the Indian market and the company has priced it at Rs 8.55 lakh (ex-showroom). The company has tuned the 900cc engine for more power with slight cosmetic changes. Street Scrambler and Street Twin are sold through the CBU route from Thailand in the Indian market, while the old models were sold by bringing the CKD route. If you are looking at buying the new Triumph here are the five changes in the 2019 Street Scrambler.

Cheaper than the old model

On the one hand, the company has cut the price of new street twin by 25,000 rupees, while the new Street Scrambler has also reduced the company by Rs 5,000. That is, now its price is Rs 8.55 lakh, while the old model was worth 8.60 lakh rupees (ex-showroom pan India). This reduction was due to being sold in India through the CBU route, because the government had increased CKD rates last year.

Cosmetic makeover

There have been light cosmetic changes in 2019 Street Scrambler. The company has given the Street Scrambler logo and a new seat finish on the redesigned side panels. Apart from this, Street Scrambler is now available in three colors - Khaki Green / Matte aluminum, Cranberry Red and Fusion White. Apart from this, it has endurance tires - 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tires on wire-spoked wheels.

Riding Modes Introduced

Street Scrambler now comes with three riding modes - Road, Rain and Off-Road mode, while Standard 2019 Street Twin has only two modes - Rain and Road. Riders can set the throttle, traction control and ABS settings using the new riding modes.

Braking and engine changes

For better braking, the company has given Brembo four-piston front-brake callipers replacing the two-piston Nissin unit found in the 2018 version and has been given a ride-by-wire throttle. Apart from this, the shell and capacity of the engine are similar to previous generation bikes, but light crankshaft, magnesium cam cover and new lighter clutch have been used.

18 percent more power

Like the new Street Twin, it also has a 900cc Parallel-Twin engine with 18 percent higher power. It now gives the power of 65hp at 7,500rpm, while the old model gave the power of 55hp at 5,900rpm. Meanwhile, the torque output remains the same. The new Scrambler engine now generates torque of 80Nm at 3,200rpm. The seat is its 790mm height and weight is 203 kg.
