Honda CB500X Launched In India At Rs 6,87,386

Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has launched Honda CB500X in India.  The parallel-twin compact adventurer from Honda will make its way to the Indian market through the CKD route. 

CB500X will be available in two color options - Grand Prix Red and Matte Gunpowder Black Metallic. CB500X is priced at Rs. 6,87,386 (ex-showroom, Gurugram). Bookings are open from today at Honda’s premium big bike dealerships – BigWing Topline & BigWing across India.

Taking style cues from the legendary Africa Twin, the new CB500X blends rugged lines with an aggressive stance. The bike gets the full LED lighting and compact signal indicators to maintain the sporty look.

Under the hood, CB500X gets an 8-valve liquid-cooled parallel twin-cylinder engine delivers max power of 35kw@8500rpm and max torque of 43.2Nm@6500rpm. The motor is mated to a six-speed gearbox and features Assist/Slipper Clutch, which eases upshifts and manages rear wheel lock-up on hard downshifts while deceleration.

A negative display LCD meter displays information like Gear Position Indicator, Engine Temperature Indicator, ABS indicator keep the rider updated in any given riding environment.

The CB500X comes equipped with the smart ESS (Emergency Stop Signal) technology that detects sudden braking and automatically activates the front and rear hazard lights, which flash to warn nearby vehicles.

The CB500X features Honda Ignition Security System (HISS) theft deterrent, reinforced handlebar lock structures, and strengthened key cylinders.

Moreover, CB500X employs Dual Channel ABS that instills greater confidence when brakes are applied in an emergency or when operated on slippery roads. The front 310mm and rear 240mm drilled petal-style disc brakes maintain efficient braking control over a wide variety of riding conditions.
