Tata Motor’s owned, Jaguar Land Rover has launched a Metropolitan Edition of the seven-seater luxury SUV, Discovery. The carmaker has already started bookings of this new edition SUV with a starting price of Rs. 1.26 crore (ex-showroom).
The all-new Metropolitan Edition of Discovery is available in both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol engine delivers a power of 265 kW and 500Nm of peak torque while the diesel engine delivers a maximum power of 222 kW and 650Nm of peak torque.
What new does this Metropolitan Edition of Discovery offer?
The Metropolitan Edition comes with multiple new upgrades and enhanced new-age features in the interiors and exteriors. On the exterior, the SUV is built on the R-Dynamic HSE (High-Standard Equipment) specification with bright atlas detailing for the grille and Discovery script. The SUV also gets Hakuba silver lower bumper inserts, black Land Rover brake calipers, 20-inch satin dark grey wheels, a sliding front sunroof, and a fixed rear panoramic roof. In the interiors, the cabin is further enhanced with titanium mesh trim detailing.
In terms of features, the Metropolitan Edition of Discovery comes with some standard specifications like a 12.3-inch interactive driver display, wireless charging with phone signal booster, front cooler compartment, four-zone climate control, heated steering wheel, heated and cooled rear seats, powered seat recline and an intelligent seat fold technology.
The new edition also features Land Rover’s advanced Cabin Air Purification with PM2.5 air filtration.
