Japanese luxury carmaker, Lexus has reported a 10 per cent increase in sales for the calendar year up to September 2024 in India as compared same period last year. Furthermore, it has reported an 8 per cent sales growth in the second quarter as compared to the first quarter of FY 2024-25.
The 'Made in India' ES model continues to remain the top contributor for Lexus, accounting for 52 per cent of the sales. Lexus also recently announced the ES luxury Plus Edition in September 2024.
In line with the industry growth, the quarter also saw a surge in demand for the SUV models, with a growth of 23 per cent for the calendar year up to September 2024 as compared to the same period last year, primarily from RX and NX models. The Lexus LM has also received a strong market response and contributed significantly the overall growth.
