Maruti Suzuki, IES University Partners To Offer BBA In Automobile Retail

Continuing its efforts to provide skill training in automobile retail, Maruti Suzuki India has signed an MoU with IES University, Bhopal. Under this agreement, Maruti Suzuki and IES will offer an extensive, industry-oriented three-year BBA course in Retail Management.

The program will consist of one year of classroom training followed by two years of On-the-Job Training (OJT) at Maruti Suzuki dealerships, ensuring comprehensive learning. The Company and the institute have together developed the course curriculum, aligned with the requirements of the Indian automobile industry, and following the prescribed UGC guidelines.

During the two-year OJT period at Maruti Suzuki dealerships in Bhopal, the students will have the opportunity to enhance their skills in actual work environment. Under the Company’s ‘Earn While You Learn’ model, students shall be offered a stipend. Program further endeavors to offer placement support to eligible candidates.

Rahul Bharti, Executive Director, Corporate Affairs, Maruti Suzuki India, said in a press statement, “Aligned to Government of India’s ‘Skill India’ mission, Maruti Suzuki has undertaken a set of well-established skill development programmes. We have set up 3 JIMs, adopted 22 ITIs, and have partnered with 13 universities across India. Our goal is to provide high-quality training to improve students’ capabilities, boost employability, and to create industry-ready workforce.”

The course will commence from academic year 2023-24.
