Mercedes Launches The 3rd Generation CLS In India.
Mercedes India is at again, With their 12th launch of 2018, they have brought the New CLS to India. The New CLS is a looker with sleek flowing lines and a well-appointed cabin. The Multi-beam LED headlights with a 650meter light throw, the 64 colors ambient lighting with illuminated Air Vents and Air Suspension are some of the key features.
The New CLS is available in 300D avatar in India, Yes sadly the V6 didn’t quite make it. The 300D with its 2.0L power mill produces 245hp with 500nm of torque. 0-100kmph dash is completed in 6.4secs. Transmission duties are handled by Mercedes 9G-Tronic system.
The Interiors of the New CLS is much improved in this 3rd generation. 12.3inch high-resolution widescreen display dominates the dashboard along with the digital cockpit display which is available in three different styles – Classic, Sporty and Progressive. There are New generation telematics onboard and smartphone integration with apple carplay and android auto.
The New CLS competes in a niche segment with Audi’s A7 Sportback and BMW’s 5series GT. Amongst the competition, the NEW CLS surely gets 5Stars for design.
