The Chinese-owned British carmaker, MG Motor will be launching the next-gen Hector before the end of 2022 in India. Few days back, MG Motor India officially revealed that the next-gen Hector will come with the segment-largest 14-inch portrait touchscreen infotainment system and a new diamond mesh grille connected with the daytime running lights (DRLs)
The company has not revealed any more details yet but we can expect many new features and design changes than the previous Gen Hector & Hector Plus. Interesting feature that we could expect in the next-gen Hector is the inclusion of level 2 ADAS or advanced driver-assistance systems technology. The ADAS is a radar-based tech that gives a car autonomous capability and helps prevent collision.
Alongside the next-gen Hector, MG will continue to sell the existing Hector in the market. The next-gen Hector will be pitted against Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV700, Mahindra Scorpio N and Citroen C5 Aircross SUV in India.
Following year, we could also witness a compact electric car from MG Motor in India.
