Piaggio Vehicles Pvt Ltd has announced that they will be providing support through multiple initiatives to the local administration and communities to fight against COVID-19.
As a responsible corporate social citizen, PVPL is arranging free supplies of ration kits to nearly 1000 migrant laborers to ensure basic food security for a month. The Company has provided ration kits to the Executive Magistrate’s Office for distribution among migrant laborers in the Baramati MIDC area. PVPL has also partnered with an NGO ‘New Vision’ and distributed ration kits to the migrant construction workers in Pune.
For the safety of the health workers and to create awareness about how to fight against COVID-19, PVPL in association with an NGO ‘United Way Mumbai’ is providing infrastructure support to Pune’s Sassoon Government hospital. Under this initiative, PVPL is providing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Kits and installing sanitization infrastructure at the hospital. Under this initiative patients and visitors are also getting valuable guidance on how to fight this battle.
Since PVPL’s factory is in Baramati, the company is also closely working with the local government authorities of Baramati and supporting them to fight coronavirus pandemic. The Company is setting up an isolation center basis for the request of Baramati Government Hospital. PVPL has also started procuring medical equipment like ECG machines, ICY beds, Pulse Oximeter, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Kits required for the isolation center.
