The Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, formerly known as the Auto Expo, was nothing short of spectacular, showcasing the best in automotive innovation, design, and sustainability. Inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the event was held at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from January 17 to January 22, 2025, highlighting how the Indian automobile industry is shifting towards sustainability, smart technology, and designs that present a vision of the future of transportation. This year’s theme “Future on Wheels” set the stage for electrifying reveals, groundbreaking concepts, and game-changing vehicles.
We’ve rounded up the 10 vehicles that grabbed everyone’s attention - the true stars of the show.
1. Maruti eVitara
India’s largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki made waves with the global debut of their first electric car, eVitara. This fully electric compact SUV blends Maruti Suzuki’s hallmark reliability with cutting-edge green tech. Promising more than 500 km of range, it comes with two battery options as 49 kWh and 61 kWh, making it perfect for both city drives and long trips.
Inside, the eVitara features a digital cockpit, 10-way adjustable seats, and top-quality Infinity by Harman sound. Its minimalistic yet premium interiors emphasize sustainability with recycled materials. Safety is key, with 7 airbags, Level 2 ADAS, and a strong, energy-absorbing structure.
The best part is that Maruti is also building a complete EV ecosystem with its “e for me” initiative. They will be installing smart home chargers, fast DC chargers every 5–10 km in key cities, and offering support through 1,500 EV-enabled service outlets across 1,000 cities.
2. Tata Sierra
Tata Motors stole the spotlight by showcasing a variety of vehicles, from small cars and SUVs to heavy-duty trucks. However, the main attractions of Tata’s pavilion was the Tata Sierra, a modern revival of the iconic SUV first introduced in 1991.
The new Sierra retains its classic appeal with large windows reminiscent of the original design, now paired with features such as a triple-display dashboard, panoramic sunroof, and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS). While Tata showcased petrol and diesel versions of the SUV, an electric variant is set to launch later this year. The return of the Tata Sierra evokes nostalgia for many Indians, offering a blend of legacy and modernity.
3. Hyundai Creta Electric
Hyundai stunned everyone with an all-electric version of their most popular mid-size SUV, Creta. The design stands out with pixelated front and rear grilles, LED lights, and aerodynamic alloy wheels. Inside, it features dual-tone interiors, eco-friendly seats, and a floating console for a modern, spacious look.
Priced at ₹17.99 lakh (introductory), this SUV comes with two battery options- 51.4kWh battery offering a long range of 473 km and 42kWh battery with a range of 390 km. With fast charging, the Creta Electric can go from 10 to 80 per cent in 39 minutes and can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds, ensuring a fun driving experience. The Creta Electric also boasts futuristic features, including a fully digital dashboard and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).
To make EV adoption easier, Hyundai is building a strong EV ecosystem. They’re setting up 600 public charging stations and giving access to 10,000 charging points through the myHyundai app, ensuring you’re never far from a charge.
4. MG Cyberster
MG Motors lit up the expo with the Cyberster, a sleek electric roadster that’s all about performance and style. With its convertible roof and striking design, the Cyberster offers a thrilling driving experience, reaching 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds.
A modern reinvention of the classic MG B Roadster, the Cyberster features India's first-ever electric scissor doors, which open and close in just 5 seconds with a single touch, activated from the interior console, key fob, or door. To ensure safety, the doors are equipped with Dual Radar sensors for protection during opening, and an anti-pinch feature prevents accidents when closing.
Powered by the industry’s slimmest 77 kWh battery pack, the MG Cyberster is a perfect blend of sportiness and sustainability for the modern enthusiast.
5. Porsche Macan Electric
Luxury met innovation when the new all-electric Porsche Macan BEV made its debut in India, along with the updated Taycan electric at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Offered in three variants now—Electric, 4S Electric, and Turbo Electric—the Macan blends signature Porsche performance with a sustainable, zero-emission drivetrain.
The Macan Turbo variant stands out with a top speed of 260 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds with launch control. The Macan BEV redefines luxury EVs with state-of-the-art features and cutting-edge technology. With an impressive range of 536-641 km, depending on the variant, it delivers both performance and efficiency.
Prices for the Macan start at ₹1.21 crore for the base model, and goes up to ₹1.68 crore for the high-performance Macan Turbo variant, offering an exhilarating 639 PS.
6. VinFast VF7
Vietnamese automaker, VinFast made a strong debut in India with the VF7, a stylish electric SUV designed for global appeal. Compact yet spacious, the VF7 offers a range of 450 km and comes loaded with smart technology. The VF7, available in Eco and Plus variants, is set to launch during the festive season (around August) this year at an estimated starting price of around ₹30 lakh, along with its another flagship model VF6. It’s a clear sign of the brand’s ambition to compete on the international stage.
Inside, it boasts advanced interiors with 12.9-inch and 15-inch infotainment screens, offering a premium cabin experience. Powered by a 75.3kWh battery, the single motor version delivers 201hp and 310Nm with FWD, while the dual motor variant generates 348hp and 500Nm with AWD, achieving a top speed of 175 km/h. Supporting Level 2 AC and Level 3 DC fast charging, the VF7 can charge from 10-70 per cent in just 55 minutes via DC fast charging.
7. Vayve EVA
Pune-based startup, Vayve made headlines with the EVA, India’s first solar-powered micro-car. Designed for urban mobility, the EVA is a compact two-seater city car with an option to charge via solar panels. Its quirky design and innovative approach make it an exciting prospect for eco-conscious city dwellers.
Priced between ₹3.25 lakh and ₹5.99 lakh, Eva offers three battery options—9 kWh, 12 kWh, and 18 kWh—providing a range of 250 km per charge and a top speed of 70 km/h. With its compact design and ability to accelerate from 0 to 40 km/h in 5 seconds, Eva is perfect for navigating crowded cities. The deliveries expected to start around the end of 2026.
8. New Kia EV6
Kia unveiled the refreshed EV6, enhancing its range to 650 km and introducing new features like ultra-fast charging and advanced connectivity. The new EV6 boasts a bold design with 15 enhancements, including Star Map LED lighting, a sportier GT-Line front bumper, and 19-inch glossy alloy wheels. Inside, it features a premium cabin with innovations like a D-cut steering wheel with hands-on detection and a powerful 84-kWh battery. Its 350-kW fast charger recharges the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in 18 minutes.
9. Skoda Elroq & facelifted Octavia vRS
Skoda entered the electric market with the Elroq, a stylish electric SUV tailored to meet the needs of modern families. It features a spacious cabin, a range of over 560 km, and advanced safety features.
As Škoda’s entry-level global EV, the Elroq reflects a commitment to sustainability, blending cutting-edge innovation with affordability.

Suzuki Motorcycle India launched its first electric scooter, the e-Access. Powered by a 3.07 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, it delivers a top speed of 71 km/h and a range of 95 km per charge.
Key features include keyless entry, a sleek TFT LCD screen, and smartphone connectivity through the Suzuki Ride Connect app, making it tech-savvy and user-friendly. Charging options include a portable charger (6 hours) or fast charger (2.5 hours). With its modern features and easy charging, the e-Access redefines city commuting.
