Triumph India was supposed to launch the 2020 Street Triple RS in March, but with COVID19 Pandemic and the following lockdown, The British Motorcycle Maker has announced the launch to take place on 22nd of April. Observing the lockdown and Social distancing norms and the company will be launching the 2020 Street Triple RS, Online on Twitter.
The middle-weight street naked sportbike gets an updated styling with a more aggressive front and a host of additional features, and a BSVI compliant engine.
The front of the 2020 Street Triple RS gets a revised twin LED headlamps design with integrated DRLs lending it much more aggression than before. A lot of other body panels have been updated for the 2020 version. The 5” TFT instrument console sports new graphics and features like Bluetooth connectivity and wait for it - GoPro controls as well through the MyTriumph connectivity suite
The BSVI compliant 765cc inline 3-cylinder liquid-cooled engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox with Triumph shift assist pushes out 122PS and 79Nm of torque, the power still remains the same as of the outgoing model but the torque has gone up from 77Nm.
The bike comes with 41mm upside-down forks for the front and fully adjustable Ohlins STX40 for the rear. The outgoing model of the Street Triple RS was available for Rs 11.13 lakh and the new Street Triple RS might be priced upwards of Rs 11.4 lakh.
The 2020 Street Triple RS will be competing with the likes of KTM 790 Duke, Ducati Monster 821, Kawasaki Z900 and the Suzuki GSX-750
