Triumph Motorcycles Launches The 2020 Street Triple RS In India

Triumph Motorcycles, the Premium British motorcycle maker launched its popular performance street motorcycle – the Street Triple RS today. It features an all new more aggressive styling along with a major step up in performance from a significant engine update developed by Triumph’s Moto2TM engine team

The 2020 Street Triple RS gets updated styling,  with a much more aggressive front look. The LED headlights are all new, with a sharper and more purposeful style come with integrated The Daytime Running Lights.

The 2020 Street Triple RS now gets updated body panels, more angular, more sporty, and with much cleaner lines. The new fly screen and air intake are now more pronounced, plus the side panels, rear unit, seat cowl and belly pan are all new.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Shoeb Farooq, GM Triumph Motorcycles India said: “The Street Triple RS was a game-changing and category-defining motorcycle when it made its global debut back in 2007. In the journey of bettering itself, the Street Triple RS went through a host of technological advancements and the 2020 Street Triple RS reiterates Triumph’s commitment of bringing in class leading technology, exemplary performance, specification, build-quality and design to deliver extraordinary machines.  The 2020 Street Triple RS is equipped with a host of premium and the best-in-class components that make it the ultimate street motorcycle and a potent track weapon”.

The TFT system on the 2020 Street Triple RS now has enhanced functionality with the MyTriumph connectivity system software installed and enabled, ready to be used with the accessory-fit Bluetooth module. This enables GoPro interaction, turn-by-turn navigation and phone and music operation via the ergonomically optimised switch cubes, and displayed on the TFT screen. It also features new style 2nd generation graphic schemes, in four different styles, and four different colours. The TFT screen angle can be adjusted for optimum visibility to suit rider height.

The latest Triumph Shift Assist, up and down quickshifter, has also now been added as standard to the new Street Triple RS, The motorcycle also comes with ride-by-wire, adjustable ABS and switchable traction control and five riding modes (Road, Rain, Sport, Track and Rider configurable), These modes adjust throttle response, ABS and traction control settings, and can easily be selected whilst riding. Rain mode restricts power to 100PS for enhanced safety and control.

He further added, “These are difficult and unprecedented times given the impact of the COVID19 pandemic and the top priority at this point is staying home, staying safe and practice social distancing. As the country prepares to open up in a phased manner, we believe the digital launch of the all new Street Triple RS will bring in the much required excitement into the market and among motorcyclists.”

The new Street Triple RS gets high spec suspension with fully adjustable 41mm Showa big piston front forks, with 115mm travel, and fully adjustable Öhlins STX40 piggyback reservoir monoshock rear suspension unit, with 131mm rear wheel travel. In the Braking Department,  the Street Triple RS features Brembo M50 4-piston radial monobloc front calipers and a Brembo ratio and span adjustable brake lever, plus a Brembo sliding rear caliper. The tyres are Pirelli’s latest generation high performance Diablo Supercorsa SP v3 tyres.

The new Street Triple RS has been priced at INR 11.13 lac ex-showroom pan India.
