Lance Bennett To Take Over As VP Of Mercedes-Benz India
Mercedes-Benz India is going to have Lance Bennett as its new Vice President, Sales and Marketing. From first of February next year Bennett is going to take over the new role. The new appointment news came as Benz India has announced to elevate the current VP of sales Santosh Iyer to the position of MD & CEO of Mercedes-Benz India from January 2023.
At Mercedes-Benz New Zealand, Bennett is presently the General Manager and Company Director. Bennet is in charge of the country's marketing and post-sale service for the brand's passenger cars. He oversaw the transition of Mercedes to a direct-to-consumer sales strategy in 2021–2022, launched the EQ brand, and assisted in the expansion of the AMG performance line in New Zealand.
Bennett began his career with Mercedes-Benz New Zealand in 2005 as a management consultant. Since then, he has held a number of senior positions in the automotive sector, including postings in the US, Australia, and NZ, in the areas of finance, sales, operations, and product management. Before being promoted to his present post, he returned to Mercedes in 2019 as CFO of Mercedes Benz New Zealand.
